With over 14+ years in the industry Aja started Mae Salon + Wellness in 2017 under the name Chemistry Hair Lab after a diverse career took her from training in Denver, CO with AVEDA, to living and traveling all over the world, and back to Aveda as an Educator years later. When opening MAE it was very important to Aja that she supported a team that could accomplish all they're being called to and that coming to work never felt like a chore. Beyond the team it was very important to her that she built an extended community for the clients we serve. A space where inner beauty shines just as much as outer beauty and where self-care can resonate beyond the beauty industry.
Aja is a Master Hair Colorist specializing in "Lived In" Blondes and extensions. She has a high attention to detail and which allows her to perfectly customize each look with its own finesse. You can expect a very through consultation to really customize a plan for your hair as well as nurture the energetic component of making a hair change.
Aja truly extends her heart, optimism, and fun creative personality to everyone she meets. Her compassion and warmth gives clients more than just a salon service, but a therapeutic life refresher. Hi! I’m Emily! I understand most clients are looking for solutions and empowerment when looking for a stylist to work with and I am here to help you find solutions to your hair struggles. Since 2010 I have been helping clients find empowering solutions for their hair and will create a custom hair plan to achieve your goals through low maintenance color and extensions. I am especially skilled with Brondes, Lived in dimensional color, and specialty extensions that are liveable, wearable, and able to be styled any way you'd like from day one.
When I’m not in the salon, you can find me cozying up reading, crafting, baking, or spending time with my husband and fur babies!

Hair design runs in my family and I fell in love with the industry watching my oldest sister work her magic behind the chair. I grew up on the east coast, and have recently moved out this way to explore the mountains!
There are so many aspects of being behind the chair that I love but my favorites include lived-in blonding, rich dimension, and event styling. Don't get me started with weddings, they're my absolute favorite!
When I'm not in the salon, it's safe to assume I'm off on an incredible adventure. Whether it's a trip months in the making or a spontaneous getaway, you'll find me exploring my way through the country and the world!

Hi I’m Sara! I’m originally from Boise Idaho and am new to Colorado! I have 8 years of experience behind the chair and I specialize in custom coloring and precisions haircuts! When I’m not at work you can catch me outdoors, wandering farmers markets, treasure hunting in thrift stores, exploring hidden gems, or curled up at home with my pets & a captivating book! My goal as a hairstylist is to fulfill your dream hair while establishing a safe and inclusive space for everyone.

Hi I am Chris Swiney a queer hair fairy of 12 years.
Originally from Alabama, having relocated in 2022 to Denver I am the only family member to have moved away from the south. I have been and forever will be walking to the beat of my own music and I welcome all others to do the same.
I am super passionate in helping others find comfort and confidence in themselves. Be it gender Affirmative haircuts or learning to take care of your natural hair texture I am here to help! Hair color also has a big slice of my heart. I can't get enough of vivids, blonding and color corrections. Our hair is quite literally our crown and we should wear it proudly. In my career I am dedicated to being your personal Hair Fairy to help your hair dreams come true.
On the weekends you will likely be able to find me and my dog Jack out on the town, at the park or unreachable deep deep in the woods somewhere. I live for the wild and beautiful wonders of this world, including the amazing people walking this lil rock in space. I cannot wait to meet you and head about your hair dreams.

Hi there! I'm Vera! I've been a hairstylist since 2014. Over the last decade, I've built a niche in custom color transformations, from subtle naked highlights to flawlessly blended dimension that grows out effortlessly. I also love doing haircuts—whether it's crafting a precision bob, framing your face, or adding luxurious texture.
Having undergone intensive training in LA early in my career, I've also had the privilege of sharing my knowledge as an in-house educator, and co-owning a studio in Beverly Hills. Now, I'm thrilled to bring my expertise back home to Denver, where I'm dedicated to creating an easygoing, warm, and welcoming environment for my clients.
Beyond the salon, I'm a big music and art person, finding fun and inspiration in the world around me. I love enjoying the outdoors, thrifting, watching reality tv, and trying my hand at new recipes.

From cuts to colors, styles to extensions, every day looks to special occasions, I love it all.
I began my life and my career in a small town in west Michigan but I’ve been in Colorado for over 3 years now and I’m having so much fun. Outside of the salon, I have a passion for travel! I love finding new experiences and generally aim to get out in the beauty of nature as much as I can. I have a house plant habit and love any opportunity to interact with plants and animals.
